Happy - me? Just a bit! :D

I know I promised to update here regularly but I've had a busy two weeks! I've been off promoting The Bringer, writing A Single Bite and keeping up with the demands of daily life i.e. day job, my kids and husband!

Anyhoo, it's been a good week for The Bringer, it made it in Amazon top 100 rankings -

#79 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Fiction > Genre Fiction > Romance > Fantasy, Futuristic & Ghost

#86 in Books > Romance > Fantasy & Futuristic

And I had another two 5 star reviews, now up to fourteen, so I'm currently bouncing around a lot, smiling and generally annoying the hell out of people!

I do want to say a big thanks to those of you who have bought my book and I hope you’re enjoying reading it, as much as enjoyed writing it.

I'm off work next week (yippee!) so hopefully I should have a bit more time on my hands to keep you updated as to what's happening with my books.

Right I’m off to do some more promo...

Have a good weekend and whatever you’re doing, have fun and stay safe! :)

Review of 'Blindsided'

'Blindsided' by Gemma Rice

I’ve just finished reading this book and – wow! I loved it!
This is not your typical love story; Gemma Rice takes hold of your emotions and yanks you in from the opening chapter, right down to the very last word. I was instantly hooked into the complicated world of Leanne and Andre.
Rice covers issues that some authors shy away from and she deals with them beautifully, and eloquently. I could literally feel the emotion pouring out of the pages. It’s raw. Parts of this story are shocking, but at the same time so very compelling.
I don’t want to put spoilers here so I’ll just say that at times I found myself banging my hand against my head in frustration at Leanne’s reactions, but Rice quickly follows up to give such insight into Leanne thoughts, motives and reasoning that my initial frustration quickly dissipated and I actually found myself empathising with her - that shows just how cleverly this book has been written.
It was fast paced and I couldn’t read quickly enough to find out what was going to happen next, yet I really didn’t want it to end!
This is a must read.

I'm so pleased with how 'The Bringer' is being received.  Throwing my ‘baby’ out there was scary to say the least! But the comments I've had back from you wonderful people have had me grinning from ear to ear since it when live last Thursday :)

It's been a great start, long may it continue!

Review of 'BiteMarks'

Okay, so I've not only neglected my blog recently but I've also neglected to do a review, on the very talented Drew Cross' debut novel 'BiteMarks', which I mentioned on here about three weeks ago. And I have to say not once has Drew nagged me or asked me to hurry the hell up – which I would have done!

So here I am, with a very sorry it's late, Drew and hope this review cuts it...

Have you ever read a book and wish you'd wrote it yourself because it's that awesome? Well that’s exactly how I felt from the minute I started reading BiteMarks.

I thought I had an idea of what it was about, but I got far more than I bargained for - it totally blew me away!

Shane Marks, a guy so complex, so troubled, and in some ways so incredibly frightening - and he's the `good' guy! I was instantly hooked by Shane and pulled in for the ride, and that is purely down to the almost poetic and descriptive talent of the author. I've never been to Nottingham in my life and now feel like I know the place really well, as if I've walked the streets myself.

I adored the friendship between Shane and Marcus and the light hearted banter they share. Their friendship came across as real. And I have to say, as a dog lover I instantly took to Ghost, he sound so lovely and cuddly! Which is probably a strange thing to say considering the nature of this unique crime novel!

I may have neglected to do the review but I have been reading this book over the period of the last few weeks and that wasn't because it was easy to put down, because believe me it wasn't - it was because I really didn't want it to end so I etched it out for as long as possible!

I like a lot of books, I don't love many - I LOVE BiteMarks.

BiteMarks is available to buy on Amazon and Smashwords.

* A note to Drew - I'm feeling all inadequate as a writer now compared to you! I hope you’re very happy with yourself! :p *

The Bringer has arrived!

Okay so I haven’t blogged for ages and have been severely neglecting it, but with very good reason - I've been hard at work getting my book ready for publication!
Woohoo!
My debut novel ‘The Bringer’ is now available to download as an ebook on Amazon! Excited just doesn’t even cover it!
So take a look and if you like the look of my book, and make the smart decision to buy, all reviews and feedback would be really appreciated :)
And I will endeavour to be on here as often as humanly possible from now on!
Have the best weekend everyone – I intend too!
